About Me
Hi, I’m Sylvia Coffey, the owner of Pooler Pet Sitter and proud dog mom to three lovable pups—Bandit, Lily, and Smokey. My journey with animals started at age five with my first dachshund, Pooky, and has grown into a lifelong passion for caring for pets.

By day, I work as a Senior HR Manager, where I’ve spent nearly 20 years building a career focused on people, organization, and trust. By night (and weekends!), I follow my heart—caring for pets in my community. Pooler Pet Sitter began as a part-time venture, but it has quickly become one of my greatest joys.

When I’m not working or pet sitting, you’ll probably find me with a cup of coffee in the morning, planning a beach trip with my husband Ben, a loaded tea in the afternoon, shopping the Aldi "aisle of shame," or spoiling our three dogs.

My goal with Pooler Pet Sitter is simple: to give pet parents peace of mind while providing their fur babies with the love, comfort, and care they deserve.
My Story
How Pooler Pet Sitter Started
Pooler Pet Sitter began in the most meaningful and unexpected way. A close friend was searching for a new dog sitter after hers changed jobs. After some prayer and conversations, her sister thought of me—knowing how much I adored my three dogs and how deeply I loved my dachshund, Leah, who had recently passed.

When they reached out, I immediately said yes. That one simple request planted the seed for what would become Pooler Pet Sitter. Within weeks, I had created a name, designed a logo, and launched social media pages—and by August 2023, Pooler Pet Sitter was officially born.

I’ll always be grateful to Erin, Wesley, and Jo for trusting me from the very beginning. Without their encouragement, I may never have taken the leap. I truly believe God’s timing is always perfect, and this opportunity came at exactly the right moment.
